Plan of Salvation

The Bible tells us that ALL have sinned and have fallen short, which means there is a gap between us and God.  Because of this gap, God sent His son in the form of a man (Jesus), and allowed Him to die on a cruel cross to bridge that gap.  When we accept Him, then we are saved.  Being saved means that you no longer have to grace eternal life in hell, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)  Christ paid the price for each and every one of us on the cross at Calvary so that our sins could be forgiven and we could have eternal life with Him in heaven.  The only thing we have to do is accept and believe.  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)  Jesus told us: “there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” (Luke 15:10)  If you truly understand that you are a sinner and know that you need Him, it’s very simple to be born again.  “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9-10, 13)

If you understand all of this and would like to be born again, just pray something like this simple prayer.  If you do, please tell us about it so we can pray for you as you start your new life in Christ.

“Dear God, I come to you admitting that I’m a sinner.  Please forgive me for all the sins I’ve committed against you.  I know that because Jesus shed His blood on the cross, my sins have been washed away.  Take control of my life and help me to do what you want me to do.  I know that because Jesus rose again the 3rd day, I can have everlasting life with You after I die.  Thank-you Jesus for such a gift at such a price. Amen.”
